Our National Zoo

This temporary exhibition celebrates more than a century of memories made at the National Zoo by Washington-area African American community members. Photos paired with first-person stories were curated from the community, as well as the Smithsonian Institution Archives. The exhibition was part of a Smithsonian-wide celebration of the 2016 Grand Opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

As Exhibit Developer at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, I curated this exhibition and led its content development.
