Animal Care Experience

This interactive tour engages visitors in the practice of animal care—providing opportunities for them to form a deeper understanding of how the Monterey Bay Aquarium cares for exhibit animals, how that care translates to care for animals in the wild, and how we can all contribute to the care of animals and their homes. Visitors step into the world of animal care specialists to learn how observation, enrichment, training, and teamwork are important elements of animal care. Throughout the tour, guides facilitate open-ended conversations with visitors to inspire conservation of our ocean and the life it supports.

As Exhibit Developer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I collaborated with guest experience on the goals, messages, and interpretive framework for this interactive tour. Its public launch is delayed due to COVID-19.
